NO. 5, NOVEMBER 2008 - MUMBAI SPECIAL

ukendt.tiff

Multiple terror attacks in southern Mumbai - at least 100 dead, hundreds injured and counting

Follow the links below for news on this night's horrific terror attacks in Mumbai's tourist centre Colaba. As was the case with the Delhi blasts a few years earlier, the attacks target areas where foreigners are known to congregate, but 90% of the victims so far have been locals. All of this bloody mayhem goes on in the place where I have spent most of my time in Mumbai. On my table I have a folder with photos from this exact area that I took when I was there in April this year. My heart cries for all the people I know there and who are caught in this unbelievable chaos. And if experience serves us well, this incident will only fuel the already tense situation between ethnic and religious groups in the area. The targets so far have been the CST train station, Cama hospital, the Nariman House, Taj Mahal Hotel and the equally luxurious Oberoi on the other side of the harbour. Initial reports from Indian news sources tell us that apparently Hindustan Lever was having a large meeting of some sort with "bureaucrats and industrialists" at the Taj when gunmen stormed the building. Also Leopold's Café, a landmark on Colaba Causeway frequented by many tourists, has been attacked. As morning comes to Mumbai, hostage situations and gunbattles still rage in several places in the city, and the Taj is still in flames. However, a state representative of Maharashtra now claims to have "the situation under total control." The special forces of the police and the army have surrounded the three hotels, and live reports tell of ongoing rescue operations at these sites. The attacks have taken place in nine sites throughout the city.
The Mumbai stock exchange, the airport and all schools and colleges have all been shut down until further notice.
Responsibility for the attacks has been taken by a hitherto unknown group calling themselves the Deccan Mujahideen - the word Deccan referring to the geographical area of  Maharashtra state. The operation is rumored to have included many attackers who sought out foreigners, particularly U.S. and British citizens. The attackers are said to have come in from the seaside. So far, 9 attackers have been caught and 5 killed.
The head of the Mumbai anti-terror police squad was killed in gunbattle, as was 'encounter specialist' Salaskar, who has 80 confirmed kills of Mumbai gangsters under his belt. 9 other officers have been killed so far.

NO. 4, NOVEMBER 2008

"To put it in a terminology that harkens back to the more brutal age of ancient empires, the three grand imperatives of imperial geostrategy are to prevent collusion and maintain security dependence among the vassals, to keep tributaries pliant and protected, and to keep the barbarians from coming together."
- Zbigniew Brzezinski, The Grand Chessboard
"May you live in interesting times," an old Chinese curse says. These are indeed such times; interesting, fascinating, tumultous, cursed. Thus, I found it appropriate to begin this B&C newsletter with a quote befitting this decisive period. Old Zbig is a guy who knows his way around international affairs, so we should heed his words: His 1997 book includes many of the strategic considerations that were later included in the PNAC report written by the people who were soon to become part of George W. Bush's administration. It is interesting to note that Brzezinski's two sons Mark and Ian acted as foreign policy advisors to both presidential candidates in this year's U.S. elections. Is a divide & conquer strategy being applied that transcends the two-party system of America to prevent the barbarians, the sheeple - in the minds of the elite rulers, that's all the common people are - from achieving unity, or is this an inconsequetial fact? Keep a close eye on who gets appointed to cabinet and administration positions under the Obama presidency. His newly appointed treasury secretary for instance, is Timothy Geithner, who has a very interesting CV.
Below you'll find the usual links to pages you should bookmark, some interesting not-so-new news, and fresh leads to follow. Of particular importance on this list are the two links to the work of Mike Ruppert, author of Crossing the Rubicon, which is a damning exposé of the structure and mechanisms of American power and its consequenses. And those of you who choose to read the article on Licio Gelli may wonder who Roberto Calvi was, and why he was hung under Blackfriars Bridge in London in 1982 with stones in his pockets. Indeed you should.
I hope that this will keep you occupied & entertained until the next newsletter arrives.

NO. 3, SEPTEMBER 2008

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the worlds' central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the indirect injury of all other economic groups."

Professor Carroll Quigley, in Tragedy and Hope: A History of The World in Our Time

Thus we begin this newsletter with a suitable quote from Quigley’s 1300-page must-read Tragedy and Hope, and we continue along the same lines: More updates on the current economic situation, as well as a local perspective on the skirmishes around the Afghan-Pakistan border. Also a link to military psychologist Lt. Col. Dave Grossman's site. Browse the forum for interesting threads and read some of his articles. Of particular interest are the ones on violence and media programming of children. This again ties in with Fritz Springmeier's revelations of mind control. Also very interesting is this article where you will find a text on the coming domestic deployment of US troops returning from Iraq.

To counteract all the gloomy stuff, here’s a feel-good moment caught on tape:

But if you only read one article from this list, this should be the one:

Here you will find a nicely condensed presentation of much of the material relevant to understanding economics and power relations. Googling just about any name in the article will yield a lot of interesting info.

If you still want more, I suggest visiting http://worldreports.org/news , the website of International Currency Review, a specialized financial publication that helped bring some important aspects of this giga scandal to light. Their coverage is massive and well worth the read. But be advised that the best stuff is reserved for subscribers to the printed 300+ page issues. The texts on the site should only be seen as updates, extensive though they may seem.

Go to http://www.deepblacklies.co.uk/ for a thoroughly researched collection of e-books by David Guyatt. These provide much background info on these topics. The download and activation procedure for the e-books is explained on the site, but unfortunately only for Windows systems as far as I can tell.

You should bookmark all the pages I link to, as most of these will be useful later on. Also make an effort to save the files. There's no guarantee that they will be available forever.

Spread the word.

America is Retreating Everywhere Except In Pakistan

TUESDAY, 16 SEPTEMBER 2008 11:01 WWW.DAILY.PK

Russia under the leadership of a nationalist like Vladimir Putin has deftly pushed back America. The Americans are tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan and their threats have more bluster than bite. This does not mean we go to war with Washington, which is still a superpower. It means that Pakistan, too, can deftly handle the cowboys.

NO. 2, SEPTEMBER 2008

"Give me control of a nation's money, and I care not who makes her laws."
Mayer Amschel Rothschild
Today's newsletter is primarily concerned with the ongoing financial crisis and its repercussions. A teaser and a link can be found for each entry below. To sum the recent developments up in a few words: Lehman Brothers have just filed for bankrupcy in one of the biggest institutional collapses seen in a long time. In order to avoid doing the same, Merril Lynch accepted a preemptive $50-billion buy-out by Bank of America. Fritz Springmeier, a guy whose work you should look into, predicted in his mid-'90s book Deeper Insigths Into the Illuminati Formula (e-book found at www.scribd.com) that BoA would be the last bank allowed to crash when the bank crisis hit: "Bank of America is slated to be perhaps the only bank to survive the economic crash, when the Illuminati kingpins will allow their own banks to crash," he wrote on p. 94. We'll see if he's right.
Please note the mention of $455 trillion worth of derivatives in the NYC Reuters report. That is, ladies & gentlemen, $455.000.000.000.000 or appx. 2.400.000.000.000.000 DKR worth of imaginary wealth and fake, unsupported electronic and paper money floating around. No wonder the glass house collapses upon these greedy fools.
The whole economic debacle of the last few years is a long, extremely complex story. For brief explanations of some of the important terms, see here & here.
I will write a resume of my research in this area. I've only been following the economic crisis for a few years, so I'm still learning.

Cat 4 hurricane heads for Wall Street

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The next 24 hours are going to be very interesting in the financial markets, to say the least. Lehman Bros., the nation’s fourth largest investment bank, is going down the tubes. The federal government is refusing — appropriately — to bail it out, and major private financial institutions have reportedly balked at trying to save it, afraid of being dragged down into the whirlpool themselves.

*

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Major players in the $455 trillion global derivatives market rushed Sunday to scale back exposure to a potential bankruptcy filing by investment bank Lehman Brothers in a rare emergency trading session.

*

In a rushed bid to ride out the storm sweeping American finance, 94-year-old Merrill Lynch & Co. agreed late Sunday to sell itself to Bank of America Corp. for $50 billion.

The Federal Reserve Board on Sunday announced several initiatives to provide additional support to financial markets, including enhancements to its existing liquidity facilities.

Banking stocks fell across Europe on Monday after the dramatic overnight news of Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy and Bank of America’s $50bn takeover of Merrill Lynch.

Frankfurt-listed shares of Wall Street banks lost ground sharply. Goldman Sachs fell 7.4 per cent to €101 and Citigroup was 8.1 per cent weaker at €11.90.

NEW YORK - As the outlook for Lehman Brothers dimmed Sunday, U.S. and foreign banks were pressed to create a plan aimed at inoculating the global financial system against the investment bank's failure, a top investment banking official said.

NO. 1, SEPTEMBER 2008

“The older dictators fell because they could never supply their subjects with enough bread, enough circuses, enough miracles, and mysteries. Under a scientific dictatorship, education will really work with the result that most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution. There seems to be no good reason why a thoroughly scientific dictatorship should ever be overthrown.”

Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited

This could be the beginning of something good

During the countless hours I have spent over the past decade trawling the web for current news, interesting information and pieces of the ever-elusive puzzle that constitutes reality as we see it, I have amassed quite a large and eclectic collection of articles, images, e-books and bookmarks. It has become a regular habit of mine to forward links and references to people I think might be interested in a particular subject, but I have come to realize that many other people could have something to gain from my hobby of data harvesting.

I know that few of you have the time available to do this much non-study or work related reading, thus making it exceedingly difficult for one person to see more than small parts of the whole picture at any time.

Thus, the Bread & Circuses newsletter will be a collection of articles, quotes, films, web links and literary references for you to follow. Given the time, I will add essays, analysis and aphorisms, categorize, comment and briefly attempt to connect some of the strands and highlight important clues. If you find it useful, please circulate it in your network. The newsletter will be issued with no particular regularity and free of cost.

Watching TV and reading the mainstream news will not suffice

As they say, the revolution will not be televised. If you want to know a truth, you will have to want it, and in order to find it you need information - the right kind. Fragmented information leaves you with half-truths; false information yields untruth & deception. If information gives you power, false information leads to ignorance, disconnectedness, subservience and mental slavery.
On approaching complex or unpleasant information
If you choose to sign up to this newsletter, you will be presented with mind-boggling information, weird ideas, shocking allegations and sickening revelations of the most cherished, ingrained and powerful structures of the world’s societies. You will at times be directed to material and information so incredible, horrifying and bewildering that your sound sleep and mental comfort will be at risk, your mind retreating in disbelief. But don’t blame me. This is the price you pay for expanding your worldview. The reward is that knowledge – especially the kind that is difficult to handle – is empowering.

What you don’t know can and will hurt you.

Knowledge may be painful and disturbing, but by itself it cannot harm you. I know, for I have read through most of the material you will find in my archive if & when I make it available via FTP or the like. In doing so, I have attempted to approach all information with flexibility of mind, and as few operational beliefs as possible. I always use my bullshit detector and try to keep in mind that realities are not always the same as truths, and that the mechanisms that govern the relationship between the two concepts can be identified and understood (within certain limits).

By including material in the newsletters, I do not claim the veracity of everything written by other authors, nor do I claim any expertise on the topics presented or necessarily agree with everything or anything being said. Most of what you want to know about almost anything is publicly available in some form or other, but sometimes it takes a lot piecing together from many different sources. I have discovered that the most valuable information is often found among the people you most disagree with, and that the worst method of understanding a subject or fighting an enemy is wild speculation or mental rigidity.

The subjects covered in Bread & Circuses encompass – but are in no way limited to:
History & Power Relations:

Social control (education, entertainment, laws, politics, enforcement, propaganda, intelligence, economics, mass psychology); hidden power (secret governance, black budgets, organized crime, three-letter agencies); exopolitics; war & conflict (weapons technology, strategy, terrorism, budgets); secret societies & conspiracies.

Science & Technology:

Mathematics (fractals, limit states, bifurcations, infinities, chaos); physics ((anti)gravity, the quantum world, time (travel), complexity, singularities); biology ((neuro)chemistry, drugs, energies & vibrations, mind-spirit-body relations, altered states, genetics, mind-body-machine relations, ESP); surveillance.

Ideas, Culture, Memes & Clues:

Philosophy (ontology, metaphysics, epistemology, morals & ethics); religion; alchemy; psychology; linguistics; memetic trends; predictions and forecasting; zeitgeists.
