NO. 3, SEPTEMBER 2008

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the worlds' central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the indirect injury of all other economic groups."

Professor Carroll Quigley, in Tragedy and Hope: A History of The World in Our Time

Thus we begin this newsletter with a suitable quote from Quigley’s 1300-page must-read Tragedy and Hope, and we continue along the same lines: More updates on the current economic situation, as well as a local perspective on the skirmishes around the Afghan-Pakistan border. Also a link to military psychologist Lt. Col. Dave Grossman's site. Browse the forum for interesting threads and read some of his articles. Of particular interest are the ones on violence and media programming of children. This again ties in with Fritz Springmeier's revelations of mind control. Also very interesting is this article where you will find a text on the coming domestic deployment of US troops returning from Iraq.

To counteract all the gloomy stuff, here’s a feel-good moment caught on tape:

But if you only read one article from this list, this should be the one:

Here you will find a nicely condensed presentation of much of the material relevant to understanding economics and power relations. Googling just about any name in the article will yield a lot of interesting info.

If you still want more, I suggest visiting http://worldreports.org/news , the website of International Currency Review, a specialized financial publication that helped bring some important aspects of this giga scandal to light. Their coverage is massive and well worth the read. But be advised that the best stuff is reserved for subscribers to the printed 300+ page issues. The texts on the site should only be seen as updates, extensive though they may seem.

Go to http://www.deepblacklies.co.uk/ for a thoroughly researched collection of e-books by David Guyatt. These provide much background info on these topics. The download and activation procedure for the e-books is explained on the site, but unfortunately only for Windows systems as far as I can tell.

You should bookmark all the pages I link to, as most of these will be useful later on. Also make an effort to save the files. There's no guarantee that they will be available forever.

Spread the word.

America is Retreating Everywhere Except In Pakistan

TUESDAY, 16 SEPTEMBER 2008 11:01 WWW.DAILY.PK

Russia under the leadership of a nationalist like Vladimir Putin has deftly pushed back America. The Americans are tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan and their threats have more bluster than bite. This does not mean we go to war with Washington, which is still a superpower. It means that Pakistan, too, can deftly handle the cowboys.

RUSSIA'S main stock market suspended trading today after plummeting more than 11 per cent, having lost more than half its value since May, as failing Wall Street banks caused panic on global markets.

As described previously by LEAP/E2020, the epicentre of the global systemic crisis is in the US, collapsing pillar of the global order. For this reason, the impact of this crisis is a lot more violent and enduring than anywhere else in the world.
